Ruapehu Skifields Stakeholders Association (RSSA)

The Ruapehu Skifields Stakeholders Association (RSSA), a not-for-profit incorporated society. We believe this Association will help us to more effectively represent your interests and help lead the charge with a mixed government and community funded plan to save the skifields. In addition it will also ensure our own transparency and accountability. Below are the objectives of the Association.

Primary purposes of the Association

Advocate on behalf of the members in matters relating to ownership, governance and management of Whakapapa and Turoa ski fields.

To co-operate with Governmental agencies (like MBIE), or other organisations, bodies or individuals connected with the provision of equipment or facilities for taking part in the above sports or concerned with the promotion thereof.

To donate moneys to any Association, body or person any of whose activities may be beneficial to the Association or to any fund created for the promotion of skiing and/or snowboarding at Whakapapa and TÅ«roa ski fields, or for any purpose of special interest to the Association.

Supporting the financial sustainability of Whakapapa and TÅ«roa ski fields so that they may continue to provide skiing and snowboarding lift facilities.

Engage in, develop and encourage amateur skiing and snowboarding at Whakapapa and Turoa ski fields.
